Emma Lazarus Project

With the help of a grant from the National Endowment of the Humanities, we worked with The American Jewish Historical Society (AJHS) to develop a website for The Emma Lazarus Project. A highlight of this site is its Interactive Curriculum, designed for students to engage with AJHS's vast collections and gain a deeper understanding of activism, nativism, immigration and antisemitism in America. AJHS is also hosting an exhibit that recreates a sitting room from Lazarus' time and a poetry contest through which students are asked to write a modern-day New Colossus for the Statue of Liberty.
